How it is built
Offline-first
Every bill is saved on the phone first, in an encrypted database (SQLCipher), and synced when the connection is back.
Data in India
Managed Postgres in Mumbai with row-level security, behind one versioned API.
Server-driven
Tax rates, plans, prices and speech providers live on the server and change without an app update.
Voice pipeline
Cloud speech through Kaasa’s own gateway with provider fallback, and a deterministic on-device parser that matches words to the shop’s catalogue.
A real GST engine
CGST/SGST or IGST by place of supply, HSN, MRP-based valuation, and the GSTR-1 file for the portal.
Privacy by design
DPDP-aligned: consent recorded, a named grievance officer, export and deletion in the app.
